Over 30 members of the ICE team recently travelled more than 140 miles into the heart of Wales to brave a 1.5km white water rafting course as part of the company’s annual team-building summer fun day event.

Working in small groups, the squad kitted out in full-body wetsuits, took to their inflatable rafts in order to battle their way through the dam-controlled River Tryweryn.

The fun day, kindly paid for by the company directors, provided the existing team and five new recruits with a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively, try something new and get to know each other on a more personal level.

Alice Russell, Marketing Placement Student from Nottingham Trent University, said: ”I absolutely loved the rafting, it was a great day out and I now feel as though I know everyone so much better.

“Despite only having joined the company in June, it’s nice to be invited along and it’s really made me feel part of the team.”
